Welcome to Life Stories...

Welcome to My Life's Story! Mine is made up of so many wonderful people-purposfully woven together! Everything we do is with and for each other and I am so glad that you have taken the time to stop by- so grab your favorite cup of coffee and Enjoy!

What I love most: my family, my friends, my son's giggles when he thinks he is getting away with something... great conversation, anything with a good title, bold coffee, anyone with a zest for life, exciting and fresh ideas, anything crafty, getting my hands dirty, dancing in the rain and weddings! (all weddings!)

I am happiest: when I can share what I see through a lens. Just as there are no two people alike, neither are views on life. I strive to uniquely photograph any event or person so their style can easily be seen.

"Life Happens... Picture it Boldly!"

Would love to hear from you~ If you would like to leave a comment feel free or email me at

Best Buddies. Casino Night

It is such an honor to be part of this organization- even if only as a photographer. This is their third year having a Casino Night to raise money and awareness for the Best Buddies Organization and my third year photographing it. It is really a fun night with a great group of people and I can't say enough about the staff. I am always greeted with great enthusiasm and that means so much to me. They do such an amazing job and all of their hard work definitely shows. I just hope my images express the true heart and spirit of the evening. See you all again soon! ~S.

Andrea & Jeff...

We had entirely too much fun for one session! Being that Andrea grew up in St. Augustine made it so nice because we were able to go from one great location to the next leaving us with some really great images of the day. She was thoughtful enough to bring along a few fun props that gave me a great advantage and allowed us shoot some unique frames! I love being able to think outside the box so thanks Andrea for the props and the great stories that you can't find on the guided tours! I loved all of Jeff's faces and he was such a trooper as we drug him all over for the better part of 3 hours. He says they had to kiss "A LOT" but I think secretly he enjoyed it... Can't wait for your wedding in November! ~S.

Andy & Cari...

I was so excited to finally get to meet Cari and Andy! We have been emailing and have chatted on the phone a couple of times but we hadn't met before their engagement session. So you can imagine how hard it is to just be "on" for a shoot when you have never met your photographer- someone who immediately starts telling you to "stand here", "kiss", "now move this way".... (This is why I like being on my side of the camera!) I have to say as nervous as they were they did beautifully and one of my favorites so far is one of the first few images we took. Andy was tickled and was full of laughter and as it ended it became a really great moment. Towards the end of the session the lighting was perfect(although it tried to rain but thank God it held off!) and they really began to loosen up and let their personalities really shine through! You can tell that they have a great time together and you can see just how sweet and in love they are! I can't wait for their wedding in October. Thanks so much for the honor and I look forward to seeing you again soon. ~S.

Adriana & Jorge

Just a sneak peek of a truly sweet and beautiful couple that married on Sunday at Washington Oaks State Park. The weather could not have been more beautiful for them and although it was hot they were troopers and let us drag them around the park and the beach. (And on occasion we even let them kiss....) Thank you for allowing me to be such a big part of your very special day! Congratulations to you both and many blessings on your new life together! ~S.

Juan Rios

What a cute guy! He has a smile that I know is much loved by all the girls in school. Gwen and I had a great time bouncing around downtown with Juan and his mom (who by the way could totally pass as his girlfriend!) Bless their hearts they had to deal with me in my Awful Waffle costume as I left the White Trash Wedding Bash to meet up with them, so I promise I don't wear feathers in my hair everyday- o.k. maybe just on weekends... :o)

This is just a sneak peek as I am trying desperately to catch up. Be on the look out for the slide show. And best of luck to you this year in school. My advice to you- enjoy the ride- it will be great! ~S.

Push em back, Push em back! Waaayyyyy BACK!

I know you guys think I am a total slacker.... and I feel like it when I can't be every where for everyone alllll the time. But the past couple of weeks have been really busy and I just have not had the time to get everything edited and posted. I have been out of town for Tracy and David's wedding (congrats again guys!) and Tracy having been one of my longest and dearest friends, I did what I could to help with some of the decor (although I have to say that her sister Mandy is a genius with putting weddings together- along with Mom and Ms. Raquel who put an awesome spread of food together... It always amazes me to see everyone pull together to make such a special day more incredible. Tracy has a really wonderful and loving family who worked so hard to get everything together for them and it really showed with how perfect everything really was!

Anyway... so with my small part in helping, plus a couple of other shoots (Jeff and Andrea's White Trash Wedding Bash and Gwen's friend Juan Rios' senior session) I have also been busy with my company moving our office. Sorry if it sounds like a really big pot to stir, but I promise the food will be worth the wait... so please bare with me and I will do my best to get everything caught up this week! Thanks for your patience and love... ~S.

Tracy & David are MARRIED!

The wedding day couldn't have been more beautiful. For about 2 seconds we were a little worried that Hurricane Hanna (Montana) might rain on their parade, but having just the faith of a mustard seed was more than enough to give them glorious Carolina blue skies for their special day. I love you both can't wait to share a slide show with you when you return.

Many (many, many, minnnnnny) thanks to Gwen for traveling with me and being such a huge help.

Just a sneak peek.... ~S.
