Welcome to Life Stories...

Welcome to My Life's Story! Mine is made up of so many wonderful people-purposfully woven together! Everything we do is with and for each other and I am so glad that you have taken the time to stop by- so grab your favorite cup of coffee and Enjoy!

What I love most: my family, my friends, my son's giggles when he thinks he is getting away with something... great conversation, anything with a good title, bold coffee, anyone with a zest for life, exciting and fresh ideas, anything crafty, getting my hands dirty, dancing in the rain and weddings! (all weddings!)

I am happiest: when I can share what I see through a lens. Just as there are no two people alike, neither are views on life. I strive to uniquely photograph any event or person so their style can easily be seen.

"Life Happens... Picture it Boldly!"

Would love to hear from you~ If you would like to leave a comment feel free or email me at

Erin & Jeb

Williston, FL ~ The middle of a beautiful pecan field...

Was the setting for Erin and Jeb's fairy tale wedding. I can't say that the weather could have been more beautiful, the flowers more fragrant or the couple more in love! Weddings like this are rare and I was thrilled to have been a part of it. I was happy to be shooting alongside Jaime Smith and Stacey. Our very best to Erin and Jeb as they begin their new life together.

Richard, Jordan and Madison

Ok, so I know I am so behind on a few projects I have going on, but in case you haven't heard my excitement as of yet, I have been busy having our new computer installed at home- along with CS3 and Lightroom- so bear with me on some of the editing as it is a little bit of a challenge to learn them.

Tonight I took my neighbor and his children out for a shoot. Jordan and Madison were just great to hang out with and were busy, like all kids are, with everything around them- including (but certainly not limited to) anything creepy and crawly for Jordan and anything but the camera for Madison! What fun they were! I love it when kids are comfortable enough with me to just be themselves! And I have to always be thankful with beautiful natural lighting- You just can't go wrong with and we definetly had some really lovely lighting on the back of Ft. George Island and Hugenot Park just before the sun set. Hope you enjoy!

Jim & Annette

So I guess a little over a year ago, my dear friend of nearly 10 yrs now, (wow! Where does the time go?) calls to tell me that he has found the lady of his dreams and she said "YES!" I cannot tell you how excited I was to have been such a wonderful part of one of the most exciting days of their lives! The event could have been anywhere in the world and it would have been just as beautiful because of how much Jim and Annette adore each other. It is so apparent in every thing they do that they are just perfect for each other. And when I finally was able to meet Annette, I could not help but instantly fall in love with her myself! She is one of the sweetest and most endearing women I have ever met. Thanks so much to everyone for being such an awesome group of friends and family. And to my very dear friend Gwen, who had to listen to me ramble for the ENTIRE 8 hour drive to New Orleans, my undying gratitude for being such an awesome assistant and second shooter! More images to come I promise~ In the mean time, enjoy the rest of your honeymoon. (They took a train ride around the country with 2 day stays in each city they stopped in! Can you imagine?)

Congratulations Hugh!

One of the most awesome women I know, Kelly Pickens, has a son who will be graduating in just a couple of months. We set out yesterday on a last minute journey and quest to capture Hugh's smile! Although we only had an hour, I always enjoy spending time with Kelly and her family. Her children, though children, are among the most well behaved and best mannered I have met. These images are put up for Kelly and are not completly edited, so please excuse any techinical blemishes as we are on a very tight deadline. However, the most important thing is that Hugh will be graduating! We pray favor over him and his journey through life. May it be an awesome ride!

Beach Ballet

Ok, so I know I am a total slacker! these should have already been posted, but life happens sometimes- so here I am. I personally had such a wonderful time catching up with my good friends from Celebration Church- we have all been a part of a great photograhy group led by Rich Ulrich for I guess almost 3 years now and I have to say that we just don't get together nearly enough and we have to try doing this more often. But this was fun- Rick and Lucy's daughter Jami is a professional dancer and teacher and we got together with their students to try to capture some unique images. I had fun (as you see) with some silhouetting- it sort of just stayed in that mode... I only took a few of my favorites- hope you enjoy. Do stop by Rick's site to see some of his images as they went on to downtown Jax for some really neat shots.. You can also visit our pbase site to enjoy images from Beth and Marshall.

Then There Were Two...

So we got home on Friday and Bailey's bunny was patiently awaiting her arrival... We took a few fun fotos to say "Thanks Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop!" Bailey loved her pkg. and we are eagerly waiting for the Easter Bunny to stop by. We have our tree out front adorned with colorful eggs so he knows where to stop on Easter morning. I can't wait to share photos. So I hope we'll see you again soon.

Peter Cotton Tail...

So we get home yesterday and to my surprise there is a small package on the front step to our house. Now, I am like most people- I LOVE getting packages, but I love it more to see the kids' excitement while opening a box, especially when it is unexpected. My mom had mentioned sending Bailey a pkg before her trip coming up in a couple of weeks- but it can't be that because she is over seas and it usally takes a couple of weeks to receive them... I eageraly pick up the pkg looking to see to whom it has been sent... There it is: Ayden Owens. Of course he is oblivious that there is even a package while Bailey is hoping it is hers and I am trying to figure out who it is from since there is no return address of the sender on the outside of the box. (Something similar happened at Christmas when we recived a pkg of delicious Chocolate and Caramel apples except we had NO idea who to call and thank... it was only a few weeks ago that one of my girl friends asked if we had received them and explained that the company did not put their names on the gift and other people she had sent them to did not know who they were from either.) I said that to say that I was worried we were going to have a repeat and I would not know who to say thank you to. But as it turned out, Bailey's wonderful grandparents, Steve and Rayona, sent it to him. It was so thoughtful and I hope you can see from the photos how much he loves it. (There isn't much of it left by the way!) So, thank you for thinking of him and thanks for being incredible grandparents to Bailey- she just adores you more than you know.

~S.
PS- The images where he is carefully reading the card- his doing by the way, I did not put him up to it... the card is upside down!

Tami & Robert

This Saturday past I had the pleasure of second shooting for Amy Barry of Capturing Real Life. I always enjoy working with Amy because she has a fun, creative eye and isn't afraid to try new ideas and suggestions- and if you know me- I can come up with some interesting ones! :oD

This is my second venture to the beautiful Ravine Gardens in Palatka, FL where I have to say that the gardens really are breath taking! I have included a few favorites and hope that you enjoy them! Amy captured some really awesome moments during the ceremony (and afterwards) so if you have a few minutes, I encourage you to check out her site.
